PAT Testing

The Health & Safety & Electricity at Work Regulations state requirements for the safe use of portable appliances used by staff and / or the general public. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) is required for any portable appliance that is connected to the mains using a plug, such as kettles, photocopiers, fridges, extension leads, electrical tools and portable IT equipment. To fully comply with the regulations the maximum test period must be no more than 12 months and records of all testing must be kept.
